Sunsets

I was standing in the kitchen, gazing out at the most brilliantly orange sunset I have ever seen, this evening.. and as I beheld this beauty.. I saw a slideshow.. in my mind.. of all the sunsets that had captured my eyes before.. and I realized.. that each one was different, but each was a work of the Master Painter.. I could relate many of those spectacular sunsets to times in my life.. times that were happy and allowed my reflection.. allowed me the luxury of watching the sky God is not just some fairy tale in the clouds.. He paints pictures for us everyday to look at, to show us His love, His glory, His mercy And to think, that our human eyes only catch but a glimpse of what those sunsets, and sunrises look like, truly amazes me.. because even with my limited eye sight.. I see a creator, a loving hand painting the stars tonight.. the same hand that paints the rainbows after the rain, the same brush that puts the stars in the sky, and calls the moon to its place... God in all His holyness chooses to give us pictures of His heart everyday :) He who from zone to zone guides the birds in flight, He too shall guide my steps aright -William Cullen Bryant (from To a Waterfowl)
